Privacy notice
What personal data we collect when you contact us, why we need it, who sees it, and how to ask us to show, correct or delete it.
Template — please have this reviewed. This notice is a plain-English starting point. WAHA COMM should check it against the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and fill in the highlighted items before relying on it.
Who we are
This website is run by WAHA COMM, 60 Paya Lebar Road, #06-28 Paya Lebar Square, Singapore 409051. In this notice, “we” and “us” means WAHA COMM. If you have any questions about your personal data, email sales@waha.com.sg.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our contact or enquiry form, we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- your company name and site address, if you give them;
- the service you are interested in and your message;
- any products and quantities on your enquiry list.
If you call, email or WhatsApp us directly, we receive whatever details you share in that message, such as your name and number.
To stop spam, the website keeps a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your IP address, so we can limit how many enquiries are sent from one connection. We cannot read your actual IP address from it. Our hosting provider also keeps standard technical logs.
Why we use it
We use your details to:
- reply to your enquiry and answer your questions;
- prepare a quote and, if you want one, arrange a site survey;
- follow up on that enquiry and any work you ask us to do;
- keep the website safe from spam and abuse.
We do not sell your personal data. We will not add you to a marketing mailing list unless you agree to it.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is sent by email to sales@waha.com.sg and read by the WAHA COMM staff who handle enquiries and quotes. The website does not keep a copy of your enquiry in its database.
We use these service providers to run the website, and they handle data only on our behalf:
- Vercel, which hosts the website;
- Resend, which delivers the enquiry email from the website to our inbox;
- Neon, the website database (product and site content, and the scrambled spam-check records above);
- our email provider for sales@waha.com.sg: name of email provider to be confirmed.
The map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps, and chat links open WhatsApp. When you use them, Google or WhatsApp handle your data under their own privacy policies.
Some of these providers may store data outside Singapore. We will only share your data where we need to, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond, to carry out any work you ask for, and for our normal business records. Retention period: to be confirmed by WAHA COMM.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- stop using your data or delete it, where we do not need to keep it.
Email sales@waha.com.sg with the subject “Personal data request”. We may need to check who you are before we act on the request, and we will tell you if there is anything we cannot do and why.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the personal data we hold from loss and misuse. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as passwords or NRIC numbers through the form.
